Thing #3

Creating this blog was simple. I set it up, added my information, and my own privacy settings! I made my avatar (which looks as like me as possible). I even decided to go in and change around the background and colors and fonts and awesome stuff like that! I would have to say that creating a blog is definitely one of the things that I am proud of. I am excited to actually have this blog forever instead of it just being something I write down/ type up and never look at again. I want to be as in depth with all of these things so that I, as well as others, can benefit from them now and later.

Thing #2

1. I chose the name for my blog mainly because it is simple and reminds me of my want to become a teacher!
2. Creating my blog was pretty simple. It was fast and easy and I was asked good information to make my blog flow the way that I need to.
3. My avatar looks more like me than some other avatars that I have had in the past. I have dark hair about that length and I do wear glasses. Also, the background I chose (but does not show up on my blog) is of a classroom, which definitely reflects me! :)

Thing #1

I enjoyed reading through these learning habits. My easiest thing to do is Teach/mentor others. I find this to be the easiest for me because I spent three years of my high school career as a peer mentor/tutor for children with special needs. I had fun helping them through personal, as well as, academic problems. I loved doing this so much! I wish I could continue it even today. My hardest thing, even though I don't like to admit it, is Play. I have spent most of my education as structured as possible. It has become very hard for me to deal with not having a very structured classroom with full a fully completed syllabus and rubric with most assignments. I believe that this keeps me from being able to play and have fun in the classroom when I take it to such a serious extreme.

I believe that Web 2.0 is going to be something that I will thoroughly enjoy. I am always on the lookout for successful teaching items or lessons to use in my own classroom. I think that Web 2.0 well make it much, much easier for me to be able to accomplish this. I can connect with teachers, parents, friends, etc. and get any information I want with just the click of a button. Amazing.

My experience when creating my blog was good. I found it very easy (that could also have to do with the fact that I have created one before). My first experience with creating a blog though also went very smoothly.
